The Promise For Women In Arkansas

As a husband and girl dad, Chris Jones understands how important it is to fight for women’s equality. Chris Jones is committed to ensuring that women in Arkansas have access to the opportunities they need to reach success.

This work begins by ensuring that women in Arkansas have access to fair economic opportunities including equal pay and support for woman-owned businesses. It means fighting for appropriate preschools and childcare so that women are not pushed out of the labor market for choosing to start families.

It also means that women must have a seat at the table to make decisions. In a Chris Jones administration, women would be appointed to boards and positions across the state so that their voices are heard and their needs elevated. Chris Jones would work to ensure that women have choice in their health care and are not penalized by being asked to pay disproportionate prices for feminine care products.

As governor, Chris Jones will

  • Fight for pay equity
  • Work to support women owned businesses
  • Appoint women to boards and positions across the state so that their voices continue to be heard
  • Fight for women’s access to appropriate reproductive health services so that women are in charge of their own medical decisions—not legislators
  • Work to eliminate the additional costs on femininee products, starting by removing sales tax on feminine hygiene products
